Summer is flying by—and if you haven’t carved out time for a little R&R with friends, now is the perfect time. Whether you’re wanting a laid-back midweek escape or a fun-filled weekend adventure, Hermann is the ideal place to relax, recharge, and reconnect.

Grab a friend (or a few!) for a trip to Hermann, Missouri, for a weekend or midweek adventure that will feel like a mini vacation. Whether you’re planning a girls’ trip, a guys’ getaway, or a couples-only retreat, Hermann has all the right ingredients: easy to plan, even easier to enjoy, and filled with experiences that build the bonds of friendship! It’s all about catching up—no distractions, just good conversation, great company, and a well-deserved break from your normal routine.
Cool Ideas for Hot Days!
Summertime in Missouri brings the heat, but Hermann knows how to keep things cool, whether your crew wants something active or indulgent, or a little of both. From early birds to night owls, and everyone in between, there’s no shortage of things to do to fill your days (and nights) with fun.

Start the morning with a little friendly competition at the City Park Tennis & Pickleball Courts, because nothing says summer like a quick game or two before the sun gets too high. The courts are free to use and open on a first-come, first-served basis, so grab your paddles, round up your fellow pickleheads, enjoy some lighthearted fun—and maybe even some bragging rights.
Prefer to keep things a bit more mellow? Stay cool at the Hermann City pool, the perfect spot to chill out, relax, catch some morning sun, and ease into the day. Just don’t forget the sunscreen!

Chillin’ in Hermann
From spa treatments to wine and spirit tastings, there are plenty of fun and relaxing things to do, at whatever pace you like.

Book a massage at Massage for Your Health or Eden Spa, and treat yourself (or the whole crew) to a little downtime. Then swing over to Lionheart Whiskey Co. for their gold, silver, and bronze NYISC award-winning whiskeys. Enjoy a tour and lesson in creating the perfect Old Fashioned cocktail.
Looking for something cool, refreshing, and unique? We have two words for you: wine slushies.
Slushies, Cocktails, & Sunsets

Hermann is wine country, and wine slushies are the thirst-quenching, cool-down favorite cocktail of the season. Sip on these delicious frozen wine concoctions with friends while you share a chill, carefree afternoon. You will want to try the wine slushies at Adam Puchta Winery, featuring their delicious wines.
One of the best ways to cool down in the summer heat? Head to Sunsets at Stone Hill Winery from 5–8 pm, every Friday from May through October. Enjoy the live music and take in the spectacular views of their Norton vineyard, all while enjoying their refreshing wine slushies or cold beer, and snacking on some delicious nibbles on the open-air Sherry House deck.

Speaking of delicious food, Doxie Slush offers coastal-inspired dishes, fantastic seafood, and made-from-scratch frozen cocktails (as well as beer and wine). Or head to Wings A-Blazin’ (a.k.a. Turbulence Brewery) for their award-winning wings, catfish or shrimp baskets, tacos, and Po’ Boys. If you’re craving a Philly cheesesteak, Willie’s Philly’s will take care of you, and they also feature live music every other weekend from April to October.
Cold Cocktails, Hot Music
When the sun goes down, Hermann heats up with its live music, making it easy to keep the good times rolling:

- Hermann 1837 Cellar Bar at Hermann Crown Suites offers live music every night of the week from May through October—plus dinner, drinks, and dancing.
- Concert Hall and Barrel Tavern, the oldest continually operating tavern west of the Mississippi, has it all: great food, wine, craft beers, signature drinks, and a sports bar with big screen TVs so you don’t have to miss the game.
- The Piano Bar features karaoke every Friday and dueling pianos on Saturday night from March through December.

- Live Music at Adam Puchta Winery happens from 10 am – 6 pm every Saturday, from April to mid-November. Enjoy their award-winning wines while you relax and take in the beautiful scenery.
- Live Music at Tin Mill Brewing Company is happening all summer long, every Friday from 5-8 pm. Come for the crowd-pleasing music and stay for their craft beers—like Skyscraper, their German-style pilsner, or Red Caboose, a classic amber lager.
