First Friday Art Walks
The First Friday of April, May, September, and October.
The next First Friday Art Walk kicks off Friday, May 3 from 4 to 7 PM. Local and regional artists will display their art on First, Schiller, Fourth, and Market streets in downtown Hermann.
As Downtown Hermann transforms into an art haven, families are invited to explore, with child-friendly art activities stationed along the route. Visitors can shop for unique pieces, watch and learn from live art demonstrations, and groove to the beat of live music.
This event extends beyond the art scene, as visitors are encouraged to explore local boutiques and indulge in culinary delights from nearby eateries.
2024 Hermann Mo Plein Air Festival
Artists of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to immerse themselves in this vibrant artistic experience. The second annual Hermann Plein Air Festival runs from June 8 to June 15, 2024. Artists can paint in approved locations from June 8 through June 14, and then cap off the week Saturday, June 15, with an art judging session and silent auction.
Additions for 2024 include a Plein Air workshop, a welcome reception, and a one-day quick paint event with judging. For more information or to register, visit the Hermann Arts Council online.

Scenic Regional Library in Hermann hosts a 2,000-square-foot community art gallery inside the library. Artwork crafted from a variety of mediums is on display and for purchase from regional artists. The gallery hosts four three-month-long exhibits each year, with each show kicking off with a reception that is free and open to the public. The next all-media exhibit, “At Play with Suzy Farren, Jean Lopez, Carleen Fullerton, and Eden Harris,” opens April 5 and runs through July 19.
