Throughout August, live performances fill wineries, breweries, patios, stages, and outdoor spaces, giving visitors plenty of opportunities to relax, dance, and make lasting summer memories. No matter when you visit, you will find live entertainment waiting down the street or around the next corner.
From afternoon performances to energetic evening shows, every venue offers a unique atmosphere.
Here Comes The Sun
August afternoons are made for sipping wine, enjoying the beautiful views, and letting the music provide the perfect accompaniment as you soak up the sunshine. Hermann offers a variety of performances throughout the month of August, making it easy to slow down and relax with friends.
Adam Puchta Winery invites you to start your Saturdays with incredible performances beginning at 10 a.m., continuing until 6 p.m. Take in beautiful vineyard views and a glass of wine or try one of their refreshing slushies while you enjoy the music from groups including:
- Blake Gardner & the Farmers are a groovy, funky, bluesy party band you just need to experience.
- Grand Theft Audio will make their first appearance at APW on August 15. Come support them and embrace your love of Grunge and Alternative music.
- BagLunch Blues Band will entertain the crowds with their “juke joint jumpin’ blues.”
- King Benny brings a mix of Blues, Soul, and Rock & Roll to keep you out on the dance floor.
Stone Hill Winery continues the afternoon playlist on Saturdays from 1–5 p.m., including performances from:
- T.O.F.U. Band (Two Old Farts Unplugged) brings their eclectic mix of covers – from Bad Company to Elvis, Tom Petty & Jimmy Buffet to Johnny Cash.
- Wine Down Band delivers classic rock, pop, country, and blues classics and modern hits to help the audience relax and “wine down.”
- Jonny Coller plays classic and ‘outlaw’ country music and honky-tonk tunes, including some of his original songs.
Hermannhof Winery offers another perfect stop for an afternoon of wine and live entertainment. Relax in the historic courtyard, sip award-winning wines, and enjoy live performances every Saturday from 1–5 p.m.
As the sun begins to set, Hermann’s music scene shifts from laid-back afternoons to energetic evenings.
Catch the Golden Sunset Glow In Hermann
Every Friday during the summer through the end of October, enjoy the Sunsets at Stone Hill. Free live music from 5–8 p.m. Bring your friends, share some wine and little nibbles of light fare while you drink in the sunset. Enjoy performances by local artists including Michael Marciano, who keeps audiences entertained with an eclectic mix of rock, blues, country, reggae, classic rock, and crowd-request favorites.
Starla and Scotty have a massive cover song library featuring groovy tunes ranging from artists like Fleetwood Mac and Billy Joel to Chris Stapleton and Merle Haggard. And Bob Kraus plays “songs you remember” from artists like Neil Diamond, Willie Nelson, Jim Croce, Gordon Lightfoot, James Taylor, and Arlo Guthrie.

Music Every Evening in Hermann
1837 Cellar Bar has live music seven nights a week through October. Come for dinner, stay for the tunes. Catch them on the patio if weather prevails, or in the Cellar Bar. Bring your friends and make it part of your Hermann tradition.
Bunkers & Barrels offers great music, great food, great times all summer long: every Saturday from 7:30 – 10:30 p.m. Some of the artists appearing include El Reagan, Gary Durk, and Chad Stafford. You’ll hear everything from country classics and Southern rock to blues, Americana, funk, and guitar-driven pop favorites. And you may have seen Devon Sutterfield’s appearance on season 25 of The Voice. Devon plays classic country, Southern rock, blues, and some R&B.
Tin Mill Brewery pairs fantastic German-style beers with great live performances by local artists every Friday and Saturday from 5-8 p.m. through November 21. With seating in their spacious beer garden and three levels inside, there’s plenty of room for you and your crew to settle in and stay awhile.
Centerline Road, playing on Friday, August 21, is a duo blending powerful vocals with skilled acoustic guitar to create an engaging, soulful sound. They cover a wide range of genres, including rock and country, while adding their own unique twist.
If you’re looking for something a bit more intimate on Friday evenings, The Captain Wohlt Inn offers a relaxing evening of music as part of their Garden Music Series just steps from their guestrooms. Seating is open to guests of the inn with a limited number of non-guest passes available.
Live on Stage – Annie!
Enjoy the musical “Annie” live on stage July 24 – August 2, at the Showboat Theatre, based on “Little Orphan Annie.”® Talented artists from St. Louis and Hermann make up the cast and crew.
Hermann Community Band Concert
Bring your lawn chairs or a blanket, pack a picnic, and enjoy the Hermann City Band as they perform a free concert of show tunes, contemporary tunes, and classic overtures this summer at the Clara Eitmann Messmer Amphitheater on Sunday, August 2, at 7 p.m.
