Take part in an experience that leaves you feeling centered, blissful, and recharged—no rushing, no pressure, just something truly for you. Build memories while learning a new skill. Take this opportunity to discover talents you didn’t know you had. Not sure where to begin? Start with these fun ways to unwind:

- Hermann Wurst Haus features several classes, such as Wurst Making, Makin’ Bacon, and Summer Sausage Making. The Wurstmeister covers the important topics of mixing and grinding techniques, ingredients, and more. These hands-on classes aren’t just for experienced foodies – they are for anyone curious about the craft. No experience? No problem! The Wurstmeister will guide you step by step through the process. And the best part is, you’ll leave with something tasty that you helped create!
- Time for Memories offers instructed painting classes to help you explore your creative side. Painting can be therapeutic, and you’ll leave with more than a work of art; you’ll leave with a memory.
- Quilting Bee Fabrics hosts monthly classes and workshops, always offering fresh inspiration while celebrating the time-honored tradition of quilt-making. Whether you’re an experienced quilter or just getting started, there’s something comforting about creating a quilted piece, knowing it will be a lasting keepsake or heirloom.

- The Blank Canvas Gallery & Studio is a creative space where you can really get into your art. Attend one of their scheduled events or book your own time to paint a canvas, glaze a ceramic souvenir, or get creative with an acrylic pour.
- Silver Owl Specialty Quilts & Fabrics has sewing classes for the novice to the experienced, along with barn quilt painting classes, and more.
- Hogshead Cigars & Fine Tobaccos has a mobile cigar bar, perfect for a guy’s night out or celebration. Whiskey & Scotch tastings and pairing events are available for groups as well.
- Lionheart Whiskey Co. offers a guided Tasting Tour of their historical building and bottling facility and ends with sampling and creating your own Old Fashioned cocktail.
More Vibes, Less Work
Maybe you’re not the hands-on type. Perhaps you would rather experience the talents of others than create something yourself. Hermann has a wealth of unique experiences that allow you to relax, indulge, and take it all in at your own pace.

Immerse yourself in an Adam Puchta Winery Elevated Tasting Experience. More than just trying a few wines, their trained wine steward will guide you through sampling six award-winning wines, perfectly paired with charcuterie and the history of this seventh-generation winery. It’s an excellent experience that blends a relaxed atmosphere with a deeper appreciation of Missouri winemaking.

Enjoy a classic ride around Hermann with the Hermann Crown Suites 1930 Studebaker. Take a tour of Hermann’s historical areas, a downtown cruise, or even rent the vehicle for the day, as a chauffeur takes you to and from your destinations in style.

Or roll out your mat and enjoy the extraordinary view of the Missouri River during Yoga on the Bluff at Hermann Hill every Saturday at 8 a.m. Fresh air and early morning sunshine do wonders for the spirit.
Unplug and Take in a Show

You can binge-watch TV at home any night of the week – but only in Hermann can you enjoy live performances by our talented local theatre troupe in a historic theatre space. There’s something special about settling into your seat among neighbors, friends, and theatre lovers alike, all coming together to support the theatre community with the thrill of live performances (and yes, there’s popcorn!). This weekend, the Showboat Community Theatre, in partnership with R-S Theatrics, and the Half Act Theatre Company, will be showing the final weekend of Camelot. Future shows on the schedule include the classics A Midsummer Night’s Dream in September and Leading Ladies in October.
On September 27, Hermann Farm will be hosting the 3rd Annual Hermann Farm Heritage Festival. New this year will be Civil War re-enactments of the Battle at Hermann, an important part of Hermann’s history, and the Captain C.C. Manwaring Great Ball, held in the Hermannhof Festhalle. The Ball is a social event in Civil War period attire and an 1860s fashion show. Elsewhere during the Heritage Festival, you can see demonstrations of traditional crafts unique to the lifestyle of homesteaders in the 1800s, enjoy live music, and visit the Deutsch Country Market housed within the grand stone barn featuring several vendors offering a vast collection of distinctive wares and furniture. Children are encouraged to participate in a scavenger hunt as well as games that were popular in the mid-1800s.
