Hermann is home to many festivals and annual events during the year ranging from our famous Maifest and Oktoberfest, to live music events, and festivals for the whole family.
Christmastime in Hermann

Christmastime is magical in our German village, where holiday traditions date back centuries. Beginning with a traditional Lantern Parade just after Thanksgiving and ending with the annual ringing of the bell in the Clock Tower to usher in the New Year, Hermann has much to offer visitors of all ages. Wurstfest 2025
March 21-23, 2025
Professional meat processors attend from all over Missouri, with samples and products for sale. Professional and amateur sausage-making competition, Kraut making class, German dancing and music. And the crowd-pleasing Wiener Dog Derby may well turn Hermann into the Wiener Dog Capital of the World!
Hermann Antique Show
April 12, 2025
Join us at the Historic Festhalle at the Inn at Hermannhof (corner of 1st and Gutenberg) where antique dealers from across the country gather to bring you the best in early country antiques.
Maifest
May 16-18, 2025
Maifest is an old-fashioned celebration of spring and Hermann’s German heritage, with German music, dancing, food, and parades. Add Maypole dancers, children’s games, heritage tours, beer gardens, and an outdoor market for shopping, and visitors can enjoy an amazing small-town celebration.
Hermann Garden Tour

Town and country tours of private gardens filled with early summer flowers, herbs, and/or vegetables. A walking tour of public town gardens designed and supported by the Garden Club. Visitors can chat with many gardeners.
Hermann Plein Air Festival
June 7 – 14, 2025
Artists of all ages and skill levels are invited to experience the rolling hills and vineyards of Hermann during our second annual Hermann Plein Air Festival.
Adam Puchta Wine & Swine Festival

6th annual Wine & Swine Festival – a 5k Vineyard Run followed by a festival featuring a whole hog roast, live music, award-winning wines, and local artisans with handmade goods and art available to purchase!
Hermann FilmFest
Late June, 2025
Showboat Community Theatre will hold a film festival to highlight some of the talented filmmakers from the region. Showboat will show 11 different films, spanning multiple categories, throughout the afternoon and evening.
Hermann FreedomFest

Fireworks celebration is Saturday, July 5th!
Hermann’s FreedomFest is an annual Independence Day celebration. Events include a parade, games, food booths, music at Riverfront Park, and a concert by Hermann’s Municipal Band at the Clara Eitmann Messmer Amphitheater.
Hermann Wine & Jazz Festival

Missouri Bourbon Festival 2024

The inaugural Missouri Bourbon Festival in Hermann hosted by Copper Mule Distillery. Enjoy bourbon tastings from Missouri Bourbon distilleries, learn about Bourbon at educational sessions, and participate in the Missouri Bourbon Games!
Hermann Blue Oval Rally
Mid-to-Late August 2025
Hundreds of Ford enthusiasts rally in downtown Hermann to show off vehicles from Model A’s to Mustangs. The main Saturday attraction is an all-day All Ford Show starting at 8 a.m. on downtown Fourth Street.
Stone Hill Harvest Festival

Celebrate the beginning of grape harvest with FREE Live Music by Jonny Coller, lawn games, Sherry House wine bar and local vendors on the hillside.
3rd Annual River City Cruisers Cruise-In

Second Annual Cruise-In to benefit annual scholarships and other local charities. Come to cruise or come to watch – 50’s and 60’s period dress would be KOOL!!!
Hermann Farm Heritage Festival
