Historical Place
Hermann Farm’s mission is to engage and educate the public regarding the significance of Missouri’s cultural, agricultural and winemaking heritage, and support excellence in our region’s food and farming. The Farm offers a variety of tours and events intended to share the legacy of Charles Teubner, George Husmann and Charles Manwaring, who were instrumental in the early days of winemaking in Missouri. Guided tours include the 1847 Teubner-Husmann home; the 12,000 square foot stone barn, built in the German style and home to the Farm’s magnificent Shire draft horses; and the 19th century Rasche Homestead. Self-guided walking tours of the First Settlement Village are also available and include the Schuetzenhalle, 1790’s Trading Post, Trades Barn and the 4-Square Garden. In addition, visitors to the Farm can book a tour of the Hermann Farm Distillery, as well as enjoy tastings and cocktails on the outdoor patio.
