Weihnachtsfest at Deutschheim State Historic Site

Join us for an open house of an 1840 German American home with traditional Christmas decorations.

Sample traditional German Christmas cookies and see antique feather trees, fragile hand-blown ornaments, delicate Scherenschnitte, sugar ornaments and antique toys on display.

Exhibits will be held at the the 1840 Pommer-Gentner House and the visitor center, which will have a special first-time exhibit featuring antique hand-carved Springerle cookie molds. Additionally, a traditional outdoor Christkindlmarkt cart selling Springerle molds, German pop-up cards, ornaments and books will be set up at the entrance on Second and Market streets (weather permitting).
