The Gallery at the Library invites artists to explore portraiture, the “art of creating a graphic and detailed depiction, especially of a person.” Portraits have the capability to depict more than just the likeness of a person. They reveal a person’s culture, psychology, and even their societal context; the genre is far more than just painting faces. “Portraiture” is an all-media exhibit where artists present their personal interpretation of the theme.
