Hermann’s Fourth of July celebration gets underway with a concert Tuesday night at the Amphitheater. Wednesday events include kids’ games, music and food booths at Riverfront Park, a parade, and City Band concert at the Amphitheater. The grand finale is a spectacular fireworks display at the riverfront.

Tuesday, July 3

Steve Leslie BandSteve Leslie & Friends Concert
7:30 p.m. at the Amphitheater

Singer and guitarist Steve Leslie kicks off Hermann’s Fourth of July celebration with a free concert at the Amphitheater. Leslie has recorded CDs with bassist TM Stevens (Joe Cocker, Steve Vai, The Pretenders) and opened for national artists, including Little Big Town, Blue Oyster Cult, Cheap Trick, Rick Derringer, White Lion, Joe Nichols and Jason Aldean.

Theme: Let Freedom Ring in Hermann

Happening at Riverfront Park — 1:00 to 8:00

  • Vendor booths — open at 3:00
  • Jaycee bounce houses
  • Fire truck with sprinkler
  • Live music
  • Kids pedal-tractor pull — 5:30
  • Turtle races — Immediately after tractor pull

Sign up for tractor pull and turtle races is at 4:30. Please bring your own turtle (extras appreciated.)
