Thanks to the conveniently located train station and Hermann’s quaint size, this charming town is an easy destination to explore for those who chose to leave their cars back at home. From the Amtrak Station you can walk a block over to Doxie Slush for a delicious frozen cocktail or Tin Mill Brewing Company for some fresh local brews. Both offer limited indoor and outdoor seating for visitors looking to relax and unwind. Want to venture a bit further? Hop in an Uber or taxi and head out to one of Hermann’s stunning vineyards. Because after all, not everything outdoors has to come with granola bars and activewear.
Hermann owes a lot to the Missouri River, from its initial settling to the constant beauty that it brings to the town, these tree-lined banks are a must-visit while in town.
