Oil Painting and Murals

Julie Wiegand, who has been a working artist for more than 30 years, grew up in the rural town of Chesterfield, in the Missouri river bottoms, surrounded by huge cottonwood trees and miles of farm fields. She now lives on 15 acres of high land near Berger, in an historic limestone one-room schoolhouse, Lyon School Studio. “I express my connection, concern, and love of nature through my art,” she says. “Many of my oils are created plein air, from life, capturing the changing light and surrounded by the natural world.”
