Friendship Star Pillow Class
The Friendship Star quilt block has a rich American history in which the blocks were usually created in secret by a pioneer family and friends, and then presented as a going away gift when a loved one was heading out West. The combination of these scrappy stars create the best layout to introduce hand quilting in this pillow. Sign up for this class and Aimee will teach you how to create this friendly pillow.
Skill level: Confident Beginners and Up — Learn to piece the traditional friendship star quilt block. Then, finish the pillowtop with an introduction to hand-quilting and finally finish the pillow with Aimee’s easy install zipper back and coordinating binding.
Requirements: You will need your sewing machine with a quarter-inch foot. The quarter-inch foot is not required but really is a game-changer. Fabric is not included with this class; see below for material requirements.
Included: Quilt batting, basting spray & lining fabric. Pillow front fabrics and backing not included. The supply list will be supplied once you reserve your spot.
