Step back in time as you are greeted by gardeners in period attire. Sample from the historic herb garden and learn about 19th-century gardening techniques, heirloom plants and their uses during the early Missouri settlement period. An added bonus is the array of old-fashioned perennials that will be in bloom throughout the site.

Hermann Pea Ridge Forest ArboretumPea Ridge Forest Arboretum

Board your motorcoach for a scenic 15-minute ride to Pea Ridge Forest. Leroy and Mary Rood and sons Mike and Scott will be happy to visit with you about their family business, founded in 1972. Protected by rolling hills, this location affords ideal growing conditions for a wide variety of evergreens, shade trees and ornamentals. Transportation will be provided so you can see and enjoy the countryside.

Breathtaking views, water features and winding paths are the hallmarks of this magical garden overlooking the Missouri River, where the gardeners recently planted more than 2,000 trees. Little wonder the blufftop gazebo and chapel are popular wedding sites. Take time to stroll and savor the unique ambience that makes Hermann such a special destination.
